Who is Asuka?

Asuka is Japanese by nationality who was born in 1981 and her place of birth is in Osaka, Osaka, Japan. Urai is believed to have been grown up in her home country with her parents as she was the student of the Osaka University of Arts Junior College from where she completed her graduation. She was an active child with a deep interest in wrestling and sports from an early age. One of her big achievements in her professional wrestling career came when Urai appeared in WWE’s NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn event on August 22, 2015. She was the participant to battle royal on January 13, 2016 episode of NXT where she failed to become number one contender for Bayley’s NXT Women’s Championship after being eliminated second. Urai later earned the NXT Women’s Championship which she had to relinquish at the August 24 NXT tapings due to the breaking of her right collarbone. Asuka was named as one of the greatest champions in WWE history by William Regal, the NXT General Manager during the farewell program.
Asuka made her return to WWE to the RAW brand. Her signing with the brand was revealed on September 11, 2017, which was good news for her fans and well-wishers. Following her win against Ruby Riott, she was qualified for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match on the April 13, 2020 episode of Raw.
