Born as Julian Francis Edelman, he is an American sportsman and a businessman as well. He was born on May 22, 1986, which makes Edelman’s age be 34 years old as of 2020. He is known for playing for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL) as the football wide receiver and punt returner. Before that, he also played as a quarterback for the College of San Mateo at Kent State.

His performance made him drafted in the 2009 NFL Draft in the seventh round by the Patriots. He turned as the receiver of the Super Bowl LI and Super Bowl XLIX with the Patriots. For the entire 2017 season, the footballer was sidelined with an ACL injury. By gaining 1,370 yards on 215 attempts, he turned as their leading rusher and impressed with 13 touchdowns. The record set in 2003 by Joshua Cribbs was broken by him.

Edelman was selected as the 27th pick of the seventh round by the New England Patriots after conducting private workouts before the 2009 NFL Draft. He made a four-year contract deal on July 16, 2009, with the Patriots. The deal also includes 49,700 USD signing bonus.


2009 Season

On August 13, 2009, he scored his debut professional points against the Philadelphia Eagles in the pre-season game. 2011 Season

At the beginning of the 2011 season, he was used as a kick and punt returner. For the team’s Week 10 game which was against the New York Jets, Edelman was pushed into service as a defensive back. 2013 Season

On opening night against the Pittsburgh Steelers on September 10, he made his start and led the team in yards and reception where he caught 11 balls (for 97 yards). He went through an injury during the match against the New York Giants. For the recovery, he went through the foot surgery on November 16, 2015. 2017 Season

Edelman entered into an extension contract by signing a two-year deal with the Patriots on June 8, 2017, where 9 million USD was guaranteed through the 2019 season.
