Born as Julian Francis Edelman, he is an American sportsman and a businessman as well. He was born on May 22, 1986, which makes Edelman’s age be 34 years old as of 2020. He is known for playing for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL) as the football wide receiver and punt returner. Before that, he also played as a quarterback for the College of San Mateo at Kent State.

His performance made him drafted in the 2009 NFL Draft in the seventh round by the Patriots. He turned as the receiver of the Super Bowl LI and Super Bowl XLIX with the Patriots. Edelman is an avid footballer who started his playing career from his school days. After completing his high school, he attended the College of San Mateo for a year where he had 14 touchdowns and 1,312 yards. While being there, he was the three-year starter at quarterback and later became the Golden Flashes’ leading passer during his senior year where he completed his 56% passes i.e. 153 of 275 passes throwing 11 interceptions, 13 touchdowns for 1,820 yards. 2009 Season

On August 13, 2009, he scored his debut professional points against the Philadelphia Eagles in the pre-season game. 2011 Season

2012 Season

In the 2012 season, he suffered from an injury during Week 3 while playing against the Baltimore Ravens which made him incompetent for the next three games. Later, he impressively played against New York Jets. On December 2, while playing against Miami Dolphins, he was placed on injured reserve after broking his right foot. Analyzing the overall performance of the 2012 season, he played a total of 9 games where he had 21 receptions for 235 yards and 301 return yards.

 

2013 Season

After the end of 2012 season, he turned as the free agent and later re-signed with New England. The signing was done on April 10, 2013, which includes a year deal. Edelman was fined 26,309 USD on September 15, 2016, for hitting linebacker Deone Bucannon helmet-to-helmet who was a defenseless player. At the end of the season, he set a career-high 1,106 receiving yards on 98 catches and was ranked at position 71st on the list of the Top 100 Players of 2017.

 

2017 Season

Edelman entered into an extension contract by signing a two-year deal with the Patriots on June 8, 2017, where 9 million USD was guaranteed through the 2019 season.
