He also contributed to the White House Fellows Foundation by serving as fifteen years as Treasurer. He also worked for the Bankers Trust Company as its Managing Director.

He founded a credit asset management company called Golub Capital in 1994 which was named “Lender of the Year” in 2016 by the Private Debt Investor. The company is mainly focused on middle-market lending, broadly syndicated loans and late-stage lending.
