The band Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real has been serving as the regular backing band for Canadian musician Neil Young. It has already recorded two studio albums named The Visitor and The Monsanto Years released in 2017 and 2015 both with Young. The band has also worked for an alive album named Earth (2016) and a soundtrack album named Paradox (2018).
The band released its first studio album called Promise of the Real released on December 21, 2010, through POTR Music. It was followed by the second studio album called Wasted released on April 3, 2012, through Tone Tide Records. It released Something Real on March 11, 2016, through Royal Potato Family.
This album was followed by Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real released on August 25, 2017, through Concord Music Group. The band’s fifth studio album titled Turn Off the News which was released on June 14, 2019. It has been able to make sales of over 16,000 copies.
