She appeared in her first Australian theatre from the 1988 production of Sugar Babies where she was starred opposite Ann Miller and Mickey Rooney. She was also starred as Nadine Hale in Tommy Tune’s stage version of Easter Parade. Her appearance also includes Sondheim’s Into the Woods with MTC. In 1998, Burchmore gained wide popularity after releasing her debut self-titled album. Her other released albums are Live At The Melbourne Concert Hall, Pure Imagination and Midnight Rendezvous.
