Soares (born on November 28, 1988). He scored a total of 13 goals throughout his four years playing career at UC Berkeley.

During the 2011 MLS SuperDraft, he was drafted by Seattle Sounders FC in the second round (27th overall) on January 13, 2011. On March 2, 2011, he signed with Seattle Sounders FC and made his debut after 17 days in a match against the New York Red Bulls. On June 8, 2013, he made his first goal for Seattle on a penalty kick in a match against Vancouver Whitecaps FC.

On September 13, 2013, he was traded to the Houston Dynamo in exchange for Adam Moffat (born on May 15, 1986). During the 2015 MLS SuperDraft, he was traded to Sporting Kansas City. His first goal for Orlando was made on April 9, 2017. He was selected by LA Galaxy on December 21, 2017, and signed on January 11, 2018.
