Comedy career

He has been working as a comedian since 2005 when he was 25 years old. He worked working at the head office of Next plc and later attended a 12-week comedy workshop. He has already performed all around the world headlining comedy tents at music festivals like Download and Sonispher. He has also earned American awards and visited several corners of Europe.

He participated in the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year competition where he turned the finalist in 2006. He went to compete for Leicester Mercury/Equity New Comedian of the Year 2007 where he became a finalist.

He made a huge success from his first hour-long show, The Boy Next Door Gone Wrong which was able to receive a Best Debut Show nomination during the Leicester Comedy Festival in 2009. The following year, he earned Best Comedy performance and the Hollywood Fringe Festival: Best International Show for his outstanding work in The Boy Next Door Gone Wrong.

Later, he started contributing to BBC Radio Leicester as the Saturday morning presenter. He has also garnered an experience of serving as a columnist for Skin Deep magazine while he was having a publicity stunt as he took his second full-length show ‘Tattooligan’ to the Edinburgh Fringe.

He appeared on BBC Radio 5 Live’s Fighting Talk in 2012. He worked for the National Geographic Channel series Car SOS from 2013 to 2015. He also stands side by Mick Foley on his stand-up comedy tour.

As of now, Jim hosts a weekly podcast titled ‘Tuesday Night Jaw’ focusing on WWE NXT UK and PROGRESS. It was revealed that Chapter 100 would be his last show produced on PROGRESS in August 2019. After this, he has increased his production role with NXT UK.
