After several failures, he landed with a job in Biz Bistro restaurant at Aventure Mall. His job is bistro made him realize his love for food and passion for bartending. His love for work made him excel on it promoting him to Bistro Manager. At the end of 2015, Grutman inaugurated Asian cuisine restaurant, Komodo in a partnership with Jeffrey Chodorow. In 2017, he opened OTL restaurant at Miami Design District.
