“I went to talk to Eric Omores from Bash, and he didn’t hire me. I went to talk to Tommy Pooch from Nikki Beach, I went to see Eric Levin from Chilli Pepper. But I spent my time checking back with Eric Omores to find out if he had a position for me.”

After several failures, he landed with a job in Biz Bistro restaurant at Aventure Mall. His job is bistro made him realize his love for food and passion for bartending. His love for work made him excel on it promoting him to Bistro Manager. Though his promotion gave him a respectable title but unfortunately it had declined his revenue, for bartending allowed him to generate more money as tips, but allowed him to make more healthy connections.

Connections from Bistro did pay him off, as he was connected with a real estate developer, Jeff Soffer, owner of Turnberry Associates, who owns 5-star luxury hotel Fontainebleau Miami Beach and Aventure Mall. The connection made him a partner of 5-star nightclub LIV. The positive response has made him successful today gaining a rough annual turnover of $45 million. In 2000, David was approached by Opium Group which owns nightclubs like Set, Mokai, Cameo, and Mansion.

In 2008, Grutman partnered with Miami Marketing Group (MMG) which owns LIV, LIV Sun Life Stadium, Story Nightclubs, and Miami Dolphins Stadium. At the end of 2015, Grutman inaugurated Asian cuisine restaurant, Komodo in a partnership with Jeffrey Chodorow.  In 2017, he opened OTL restaurant at Miami Design District. By the end of 2019, Grutman is all set to inaugurate China Grill restaurant chain. While talking about his hospitality interest and adventures he said,

I want to be a complete lifestyle brand. I want people to have fun in our clubs, eat in our restaurants and chill out and sleep in our hotels.”

David Grutman’s LIV nightclub generates a turnover of $40 million to $60 million, which is just a single revenue of his nightclub. He has three more chains which surely release revenue in millions and lands him with the net worth in trillions.
