In 1970, a Korean American chef Roy Choi was born to father Soo Myung Choi and North Korean mother Jai Nam Choi. He celebrates his birthday every year on 24th February. He had grown up with his parents and siblings at Los Angeles and southern California. As Choi grew up his parents own up a liquor store, a dry-cleaning shop, a Korean restaurant, and after selling jewelry door to door, finally a successful jewelry company. His parents owned a Korean restaurant near Anaheim for a few years when he was a child.
